Our first ripe tomato from our bucket (it’s pronounced “bouquet”) garden!

I hope you got my reference to Keeping Up Appearances!

It feels really good to finally have some time to relax after a hectic yet exciting two weeks. I can’t figure out how to make the summer seem like it’s lasting longer than it does. There’s so much to experience and enjoy, but when I do that the more quickly it flies by. I know I’m not alone with this, right?! Savoring it all and sharing it here on my blog with you feels like a good practice. So, I have good news to share about out tomatoes after a harrowing beginning during a very cold and wet spring. Back soon!

Hello! All is well with me and my fiancé (still getting used to saying that!) With our engagement comes lots of planning so I have been exceptionally busy with that and working. We will be visiting the next new-to-us Episcopal summer chapel, Trinity in Kennebunk this Sunday, so I will have a post up later that day or Monday. I hope you are enjoying the summer!

Maine Episcopal Summer Chapel Tour: St. Peter’s By The Sea, Cape Neddick

We got an early start this morning so that we could double dip by attending two services, one at St. Ann’s and the other at St. Peter’s By The Sea. Today is also my twenty-third sobriety anniversary! We had to change our plans but today turned out to be another magical Sunday summer morning in Maine thanks to the welcoming Episcopalian spirit! Summer Solstice Sunset Picnic at Ferry Beach, Scarborough

Episcopal Summer Chapel: St. Ann’s By the Sea, Kennebunkport

Wayne and I have commenced our “summer tour” of seasonal Maine Episcopalian churches with St. Ann’s in Kennebunkport being our first. St. Ann’s is “an historic seaside Chapel that offers the opportunity for summer worship, fellowship, and outreach on the coast of southern Maine.  Located in Kennebunkport, the picturesque chapel was built in 1887 to serve the communities of Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, and Cape Porpoise.  People of all faiths join residents and visitors to the region for Sunday worship, special services and quiet meditation in the park setting overlooking the Kennebunk River and the Atlantic Ocean.” We decided to go to the 8:00 a.m. Eucharist which was held in the outside chapel overlooking the sea!
